Periyar Hostel

Situated within the main campus, Periyar Hostel accommodates 90 male students in 30 well-maintained rooms, providing a comfortable and disciplined residential environment. The hostel is administered by the Principal, who serves as the Warden, and is supported by a Resident Tutor (RT) and two Assistant Resident Tutors (ARTs). They ensure the smooth functioning of the hostel and maintain a safe, orderly, and peaceful atmosphere conducive to academic pursuits.

The hostel mess is managed by a student-elected Mess Committee. Students elect a Mess Secretary and two Mess Ministers to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the mess, ensuring quality, hygiene, and efficiency in food services. A clean and hygienic environment is consistently maintained within the hostel premises.

The Warden is vested with the authority to issue instructions and standing orders for the effective management of the hostel. The Warden’s decisions are final in all matters related to hostel administration. The Warden also reserves the right to modify existing rules from time to time, with due notice communicated through circulars displayed on the hostel notice boards. All residents are required to strictly adhere to these rules and regulations.

Periyar Hostel strives to provide a supportive and disciplined atmosphere, making it a true home away from home for its residents.
