Swachtha Pakwada Week
As a part of Swachtha Pakwada week NSS volunteers of (Unit No 135 & 237, NSS TechnicalCellKerala) Government Polytechnic College, Kalmassery cleaned HMT junction - Medical College road. This road is a heavy traffic route and a lot of pedestrians use the foot paths . Students of St Paul 's College, High School, Government ITI, Food craft Institute and Government Polytechnic College use the foot path, which is over the drainage covered with concrete slabs.
These slabs are either broken or misplaced, caused accidents to pedestrians. NSS Volunteers cleaned the road and segregated plastic waste materials, arranged the slabs in place and sanitized the foot paths with bleaching powder. Sri. Suresh, Senior Superintendent, Government Polytechnic College Kalmassery inaugurated the programme.
